The History of Takera Shoes
Takera Shoes was founded in 2011 on the insight that shoes companies didn’t cater to shoe sizes 10 and above, Asjha Jones created a stylish Italian Made footwear in hard-to-find sizes. (Takera is Jones’ middle name) made shoes exclusively in sizes 10-15. The emerging luxury, footwear designer created the line exclusively for the woman with an exceptional footprint and to fill the gap in the marketplace for these women.
Staying true to the motto going from Champion to Serial Entrepreneur.
We are proud to announce the return of Takera Shoes, Italian made footwear designed by Asjha Takera Jones, former American professional women's basketball power forward who is now the Director of Basketball Strategy with the Portland Trail Blazers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 2019, she became the first person to win a WNBA title as both a player and a coach. This woman is not only breaking records in the sports industry but she is also the owner/ designer of the exclusive luxury, footwear brand created the line exclusively for the woman with an exceptional footprint (US Sizes 10-15).
Off-court Asjha shares the plight of tall women worldwide, Jones who stands at 6’3″ and wears a size 13 shoe knows firsthand how challenging it can be to find luxury shoes that fit her feet. The new footwear designer is now known for changing the game both on and off the court. “Until now, luxury brand shoes available in sizes 10.0 to 15 have been all but impossible to find. The game has changed,” Jones said.
"It's top-notch material we're using," she said. "This is from the heart."
